Investors attracted amid debate on Scotland’s future.
Commenting on the 2013 Ernst & Young Attractiveness Survey on foreign direct investment (FDI) which describes Scotland’s performance in attracting inward investment as “sparkling”, Finance Secretary John Swinney said:

The total number of new homes started in the year to December 2012 increased by 2 per cent from the previous year - the first increase in a calendar year since 2006 - official statistics confirmed today.
