The Scottish Government Spokesperson (SGS) welcomed journalists to the briefing and ran through the day's key events:
Deputy First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon is delivering a speech on the referendum at St Andrew’s University at 2pm and the speech will be available at the same time.
The SGS flagged up that a news release is to be issued later today announcing plans for a new memorial for Scottish organ and tissue donors, which will be situated in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh. Minister for Public Health, Michael Matheson is quoted in the release.
The Minister for Children and Young People, Aileen Campbell is announcing greater rights for young people in care which extends all forms of care to the age of 21 with further support up to 26. The SGS noted that a news release will be issued later today.
The SGS then ran through key events for the rest of the week.
