Media Briefing - Tuesday 30 September 2014
Post-cabinet media briefing by the First Minister’s Official Spokesperson (FMOS) and the First Minister’s Special Adviser.
The FMOS welcomed journalists to the briefing and provided an update following the Cabinet meeting earlier today.
Cabinet Secretary for Sport, Shona Robison, updated cabinet on the success of the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles. The FMOS confirmed that Cabinet had agreed that there should be a study into the short and long term benefits of the tournament to Scotland and that Ms Robison will give more details tomorrow during the parliamentary debate on the Ryder Cup
The FMOS also advised that the Finance Secretary, John Swinney, updated cabinet on two recent sets of construction industry indicators, both showing continued reasons for optimism.
