Media Briefing - Wednesday 3rd December 2014
The Scottish Government Spokesperson (SGS) welcomed journalists to the morning briefing.
SGS informed journalists that a statement from the Deputy First Minister John Swinney would issue in reaction to the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s Autumn Statement.
Journalists were advised that the Cabinet Secretary for Social Justice Alex Neil had visited the Castle Rock Edinvar’s project in Wester Hailes, Edinburgh to announce a £25 million investment in charitable bonds next year.
This money could lead to the build of up to 450 affordable homes in Scotland.
The SGS also highlighted the Justice Secretary Michael Matheson’s participation in a series of events north and south of the border to increase awareness of the new drink drive limit in Scotland.
The campaign is designed to ensure drivers are ready for the reduced alcohol limit coming into effect at 00:01 on Friday 5 December.
